1099 Prep:

I know! How dare I mention the phrase ‘1099s’ 😡

crying cartoon womanBut wait! Before you report me for cruel and unusual punishment, what if I told you there was at least one way to make next year’s 1099 prep a little easier?

That’s right, put the hammer down – no need to smash your device just yet LOL!

One of the most frustrating things about tax time is collecting your vendor’s W-9 so you can provide the legally required 1099s by January 31st (I mean, doesn’t the IRS know you just survived Christmas? And now they throw this on you!).

There’s one quick + easy step you can take now to make this process a little smoother.

Enter the vendor’s W-9 info in your bookkeeping software.

Yep, that’s it 😁

Here’s exactly what to do:

  1. Collect the vendor’s W-9 (which you may already have)
  2. Log into your bookkeeping software
  3. Follow the steps below to add the needed info (the steps scroll)

If you can’t see the steps below, click here to view them.

And that’s it!

Now, when your bookkeeper, CPA, or you run the list of vendors that need 1099s, all of the necessary info will be there. No need to go through the hassle of collecting a W-9 again for that vendor. VICTORY 🎉
